Napa Chamber of Commerce, City of Napa Announce Extension of Main Street Closure

AUL and Redwood Credit Union Join Collaboration to Show Support, Commitment to Local Business Community

Sept. 28, 2020 (Napa. CA) — The Napa Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the City of Napa, AUL Corp. and Redwood Credit Union, announced the downtown Napa Main Street closure will be extended for an additional time period. The extension will be for a minimum of 30 days, effective as of September 18th.

The closure originally began on August 7, 2020, just weeks after city officials/staff introduced “Dine Al Fresco”, an expanded outdoor dining program featuring custom-built parklets and shared spaces.

AUL and RCU — both President’s Circle members of the Napa Chamber – were also both key collaborating partners in both the closure and extension. “We are constantly amazed by the unwavering support of all of our members, especially during these very challenging times,” said Travis Stanley, NCC President/CEO. “For AUL and RC, this is just a very small example of each organization’s commitment to our community.”

AUL, Corp is the premier automobile service contract administrator in the US. The company was founded in Napa in 1983 and earned 2019 NCC Large Business of the Year honors, largely due to its generous commitment and contributions to our local economy and charitable communities.

Redwood Credit Union is a full-service financial cooperative serving the personal and small-business banking needs of eight North Bay counties and San Francisco. They were named NCC large Business of the Year in 2016, just nine years after opening their first Napa County branch. RCU currently ranks as the fourth healthiest credit union in the country (out of 5400; based on financial health and growth).
