Summertime at the Napa Chamber

Summer has arrived, and typically that means things would slow down a bit here at the Napa Chamber of Commerce, as vacation plans and summer activities take center stage.

With the recent launch of our new napachamber.com website, we’re making an effort to provide tools and opportunities for our members — and the local business community – to remain connected and focused on promoting business via our new and improved communication channels.

In lieu of the old monthly newsletter, member news, events and special promotions are being instantly shared via our social media channels.

This very simple adjustment has resulted in a meteoric rise in site engagement and visitation, and immediate added value for members.

Also new on napachamber.com is a business news section titled Small Business Connect (SBC).

Updated daily, the news feed provides very important information and communication relative to staying on top of the ever-changing state employee/employer rules and regulations, and provided direct from Cal Chamber, HR California and Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

In addition, local workshops and webinars will also be announced and promoted in SBC to better assist in important areas of benefit and need.

The site design is much simpler and easier to navigate, and for the first time, enables members to join and renew online.

Despite the unofficial launch, quite a few members – new and renewing — have taken advantage of this new feature. We appreciate all who have done so and look forward to engaging, connecting and collaborating with you at a future Chamber event or gathering.

The event will take place on Thursday, Aug. 16 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Silverado Resort and Spa and is free and open to the general public.

In addition to featuring 70-plus local businesses, great food/wine, entertainment and raffle prizes, there’s always a fun surprise in store.

Showcase surprises of the past three years have included guest appearances by three San Francisco Giants MLB World Championship trophies accompanied by Lou Seal and the Golden State Warriors NBA Championship trophy.

Attendees were excited to have their photos taken with the championship hardware to share on social media. Go to napachamber.com to secure one of the last remaining booths.

Business After Hours: Please register to join us on Thursday, July 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the beautiful Acumen Wine Gallery and Tasting Room in downtown Napa.

We’ve received plenty of feedback from members unable to attend our popular after work business connection events, and continue to encourage all to register in advance.

The Chamber is thankful for and respectful of our gracious, accommodating hosts – and our mutually agreed capacities, and thank you for your future consideration as well.

Please stay tuned for a special Business After Hours in August featuring members from Napa, American Canyon, Calistoga, Hispanic, St. Helena and Yountville chambers, and made possible by the collaboration of Blue Note Napa, JAM Cellars and Napa Valley Commons.
