Representing Business to Government
Do You Want To Be Recognized By The Community As A Leader Or A Follower?
The Chamber Influences Government in Support or Opposition to Business Legislation
The Napa Chamber of Commerce represents business to local and state levels of government. The Chamber’s Legislative Action Committee (LAC) provides a sounding board for businesses, local government agencies and individuals who wish to get the “business viewpoint” on local projects, proposals and problems. On the regional scale, the Chamber is a founding member of the Alliance of North Bay Chambers, (ANBC) a complimenting organization that consists of representation from Napa, Marin, Sonoma and Solano counties. Issues of regional or State concern are addressed by the ANBC and positions are conveyed to our various legislators in Sacramento regarding proposed legislation, regulations or public policy.
Examples of issues that the Chamber has addressed include (but are not limited to):
• Work Comp Rate Increases
• 707 Area Code Change
• Ballot Propositions (State & Local)
• Local Use Permit Issues
• Local Development Issues
• City Ordinances
While you’re working your business, the Chamber works to keep a healthy business climate, so you don’t have to. As a member of the Chamber, you are considered to be a business leader of influence.
