Chamber Ambassadors
Thirty years ago the Napa Chamber of Commerce adopted its own diplomatic corps. Not in the United States Department of states sense; rather the Chamber’s new unit was designed to spread good will for the Chamber within the Community. Click on the headline for more information about the Chamber Ambassadors and their activities.

Business Builders
What do the small business owners of today need and want to hear about? This group is in the know – and needs you to help them know even more! Business Builders works closely with the Small Business Development Center to craft engaging and informative educational sessions for the joint Wake Up Your Business Wednesday monthly programs. You’ll meet great people, hear the freshest ideas and truly contribute to the Napa Valley business community by being a member of this committee. Meets on the first Tuesday of the month at the Napa Chamber of Commerce or other location as announced. (9 a.m.)

Green & Sustainable Practices (GaSP)
More and more businesses are examining their methods of doing business and looking for ways to conserve, recycle, renew and work in a sustainable manner. More and more consumers want to do business with businesses that are environmentally conscious. This committee is dedicated to address and support existing and new businesses with the hope of inspiring positive interaction, collaboration, and growth within our community while promoting the protection of our limited resources. Another role of this committee will be to advocate for a unified approach addressing green regulations and restrictions. If you are interested in the sustainable future of our county, then this is the committee for you. Meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month (8:30 a.m.). Upcoming meeting speakers are: July 1st Water Conservation – Lou Penning (Lou Penning Landscapes); August – No Meeting; September 2nd Energy Conservation – Mark Kamrath (Bell Products); October 7th “Green” Chemistry Steven Lederer (Napa County Department of Environmental Management); November 4th Building Preservation and Efficiency Retro-fits – Toni Renee Vierra (eco-Organize) and Paul Kelley (Paul Kelley Architects); December 2nd Annual Planning Session (no speaker)

Membership Services Committee
Love to find out about your fellow business owners? Want to know what changes are happening in their businesses? Have a curiosity about how well the Napa Chamber may be meeting their needs? All your questions are good ones if you are part of the Membership Services Committee. These volunteers contact current members of the Chamber to gauge their satisfaction, update our data base, look for new trends or problems in the community and just to be a friendly voice on the phone. If you’re a “people person,” this is the committee for you. Meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at different member restaurant locations. (noon)

Napa Young Professionals
Calling all Napa Young Professionals between the ages of 21-39! We would like to invite you to our Happy Hour each month. Locations and dates vary, watch the Napa Chamber homepage Calendar for scheduled events that are designed for business and social networking to help you gain new contacts and friends. If you would like to help form the direction of this group within the Chamber, then this is the committee to join. Get involved and make difference in your professional life and community.

Napa Think Tank
Looking into the future of Napa Valley, especially in the areas of land use, protection of natural resources, economic vitality and public policy, the members of this committee are interested in “big picture” thinking. Intriguing presentations and thought provoking discussions are a monthly activity. Meetings are the on the fourth Tuesday of the month. (8:30 a.m.)

Infrastructure & Transportation Task Force (ITT)
Wondering just how all the planning and coordination that is needed for the Flood Control Project, transportation management, traffic impacts and Bay Area transit gets done? You’ll find out from the experts when you attend one of the ITT meetings. This task force, formed to help businesses deal with all the impacts of these major influences, meets on the first Friday of every other month. (9 a.m.)

Legislative Action Committee (LAC)
One of the most active committees of the Napa Chamber of Commerce is the Board appointed 19-member Legislative Action Committee. This committee is charged with thoroughly investigating any public policy issue that the Chamber is asked to take a position on. All subjects are reviewed by being compared to the Chamber’s 5-Year Community Vision. Balanced presentations of the pros and cons of each issue are followed by discussion, lively debates and ultimately, recommendations to the Board. Members of this committee are appointed to one year terms by the Board. For more information, contact Kate King, President & CEO. (8:15 a.m. 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month)

Join this committee if you are committed to making a positive difference where we live and work. The Golf Tournament Committee meets monthly at the Chamber of Commerce from February to July each year.
