Mandatory Changes Mean New Posters Must Be Displayed for 2010 January 13, 2010Mandatory changes have been made to several of the notices California employers are required to display to explain workers’ rights to employees. The poster changes for 2010 include:• EEOC Poster. The November 2009 update contains the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008. The revised poster also includes updates from the U.S. Department of Labor.• Safety and Health Notice. The changes to this poster include updated contact information.• Federal Minimum Wage Notice. The poster was revised in July 2009 and the new poster reflects changes in the penalties for violations of child labor laws.• Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The FMLA poster was revised in January 2009 to reflect the amendments to family and medical leave.The following pamphlets have changed for 2010:• State Disability Insurance;• Unemployment Insurance.The state disability insurance pamphlet must be giving to all new hires. The unemployment insurance pamphlet must be given to employees who take a leave of absence and to all employees who are terminated.
