NAPA CHAMBER AMBASSADOR’S NEWS
Before starting the report for the second quarter of 2009 I want to include the cookie recipe from the last report that was omitted. Sorry about that! These cookies were served at our visit to the
Jamborees
3 cups all purpose flour-I add a little more to make a denser cookie
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1¼ cups butter, softened
1 tablespoon milk
2 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
½ cup jam or preserves-whatever kind you like
½ cup finely chopped walnuts
Oven-375º 50-60 cookies
In a large mixer bowl combine all ingredients except preserves and walnuts.
Blend well with mixer. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Flatten bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
Spoon ¼ teaspoon preserves into center of cookie. Sprinkle with walnuts.
Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes until delicately browned.

room. Taylor Bartolucci gave the Ambassadors a grand tour of the facilities while sampling all the way.
Workforce Napa-Julie Smith gave the Ambassadors a tour of the location on
Artessa Winery rolled out the Red Carpet for the Ambassadors. We were treated to a tour that began on one of the patios until the wind came up. What a beautiful view of the valley! The tour progressed to a private room where we were treated to a special tasting. All conducted by Wendy Suvino with her delightful sense of humor and her wealth of knowledge about the winery and the whole
